Dear Jeff,
Julie & I just want to say thank you for the help and consultation in regards to our
Outdoor gardens, Fountain, Brick Pavers, Sandstone Stair-Cases around our property.
Over the past 4,6 years, we have seen a lot of aging and growth of Green Moss, that starts to turn into a permanent Black stain that settles into most of our Masonry surfaces here, and no matter how often I Pressure wash and clean each of these surfaces, it just seems to be going Darker and Darker in Colour and we have lost that New, clean look you get when it’s first laid or installed.
And the constant rework and cleaning start to absorb any free time you may have in mind, while the property just seems to be aging before your own eyes are very frustrating to stay on top of, and to date I have had no solutions to these issues.
As I stated, I was already on my way to the Hardware shop, to try and find a Product solution at the same time I approached you on your Face book Advert, In regards kind offer to use your Masonry Cleaning & Treatment processes, and also to Use your product MasonProof in that small trial we did, it was amazing.
And now the 3 stages are complete, I wanted to share these Photos & Pictures with you and I’ll let them do the talking from here, Enjoy.

 

 

 

 

MASONPROOF TREATMENT OF AGING SAND-STONE REPORT AND TESTIMONIAL

On the left of this Picture, The 3 x Sand-Stone Blocks 1.2 x 600mm x 600mm were Treated with MASONPROOF
Treatment in a trial process June 2018,
Upon a follow-up Inspection today 12th June 2020,
It is amazing the retention of the Vibrant colours and how clean the Sand-Stone Blocks still are today.

FINAL STAGE TO COMPLETE THEIR SAND-STONE TREATMENT, (JULY 2020)

Hi Jeff and GTS team,
I wanted to write to you and thank you for your assistance with rejuvenating our sandstone blocks used in retaining around our home, as you know they had become discolored and begun to stain black.
The blocks have been installed for 3-4 years as we had them done in 2 stages, with the oldest walls showing the worst of the black mould on them.
We had previously tried a sealant available from Bunnings but found that it wasn’t making much of a difference to the wear and appearance of the sandstone in the sections we had applied it to test its efficacy.
In late 2018 we heard through word of mouth about GES and after chatting with you about the blocks, we had a look at MasonProof on your website and decided we would have a small section pressure washed and treated with MasonProof as a trial while pressure washing other blocks to compare.
12 months later we were pleased to see that the section tested had remained mould free and water still visibly beads on the surface of the blocks. This is in contrast to the remaining walls which continued to blacken and stain.
After chatting to you again we decided to proceed to have the remaining walls cleaned and treated with MasonProof in June 2020 and are so far happy with the results, again water is beading off the sandstone and they look as new again,
Some points worth noting
– We noticed that after the pressure wash, some slight dark stain still remained on the worst affected areas, but overall, very close to looking like new.
– After the MasonProof treatment, we saw an improvement in the ‘brightness’ of the stone colour from the dullness due to mould covering/stains.
– While we realize there is still some cleaning and maintenance required, after seeing the effects of the trial area we did, we are convinced the time between washes and ease of washing will be much more economical.
– Some grass die-back happened around the base of some blocks but has grown back without issue.
Everything was done as promised and on time, no mess was left, and no complaints from us at any point either when we had the trial applied or the remaining blocks treated.
I would definitely apply MasonProof at time of installation of the blocks if we had the time again.

As you are aware we have been trialing your GES product “ Mason-Proof” to assist us with Masonary, Blocks, Bricks, & Plaster wall Water-Proofing solutions over the past 12 months.

 

Our Trial sites;

 

  • J Gardner Build: Sloped Section / Two Story / with Block Wall basement Address: 51 Discovery drive, Fletcher NSW 2285.

Action Plan:

  • Water-Proof the Ground floor Basement Walls
  • Negative Walls (Inside Wall)
  • Positive Walls (Outside Wall facing the Ag-Soil & Water pressure side)

GES MasonProof – Waterproofing Application Process Date: Went ahead Jan 2017 Moisture Trial Testing Performed: November 2017

Showed Moisture readings;

Positive Wall Readings: Tested & showed moisture at between Low 290 to 395 high Negative Wall Reading: Tested & showed moisture at between Low 190 to 290 high The Minimum Aust-Housing Moisture Reading Standard: Is Under 600

Solution:

Ges-MasonProof was applied at an application rate of 14 to 1 litre of MP

Summary Outcome;

August/2017; 8 months on, The walls are still dry,

Further Tests: Feb 2018 in our 2nd tests we performed, Again these walls are still dry at the same readings, following a wet 2018 winter season.

In our mind a positive result for us as a business.

 

 

 

2).   GJ Gardner Build: Home Dwelling

Divided by a Masonary Brick center wall, Between home living & Car Garage Address: Elcho Street, Hamilton Newcastle NSW 2300

Action Plan:

  • Water Proof Center Brick Divider walls, Between Living Side & Garage,

Current problem, Water leaking through flashings & Moisture in in the builder bricks And block wall.

Solution:

  • Step one; GJ Builders sealed all cracks & gaps in the Center line Brick
  • GES-Dirtglue Applicators; Used MasonProof to water proof the Masonary Bricks MasonProof Application Mix ratio 14 to
  • Application Date: 3rd April 2018
  • Inspection Date: 4th  April 2018

Which included a Water Splash test onto the exterior outside walls. And also the Internal walls as well.

 

Our Summary Outcome:

This was a very difficult site, The home owners supplied their own Aged Bricks from a Melbourne VC, Historical site.

Some of these bricks had defects, Cracks, and a lot of moisture in them, I advised them this will create unexpected problems if we don’t get this right and sadly this proved to be true.

A few words of thanks, I have to admit I was not that convinced in the beginning your MasonProof solution would control our Moss, Black & Green Algie, or Tree Sap stains would actually work on our Carpark areas, you treated back in August 2017.
Every time we get winter Rains, These Photos show how good “MasonProof” Continues to work for us..

Today 07 March 2020, is now approx. 32 months on, There has been “No regrowth of Algae, Moss, and Blackening, nor dark tree sap stains that normally returns over the damp winter seasons.

My Pressure washing costs have reduced to Nil through this period, so its time treat the rest of our Carparks now Pls.
“Simply put – Your MasonProof solution really does work” let’s get the rest of the car park sorted and can I get some for home.
